Credit Cards 101 Presentation on March 21

Date: Tuesday, March 21, 12 - 1 p.m.
Location: Setzer Student Center, room 120 Neches

Join Money Management Program presenting Laura Landry with Education First FCU-Not all credit cards are created equal. We'll be talking about benefits, fees, rates and how to properly manage credit cards.

Spring Cleaning Clothing Drive on March 24

Date: Friday, March 24
Location: Campbell Residence Hall

Come to Campbell Residence Hall and donate preloved clothing or take something you like. Anything left over will be donated to those in need.

Celebration of Women in Uniform Will be Held on March 25

Date: Saturday, March 25, 12 - 2:30 p.m.
Location: Montagne Center

On Saturday, there will be a celebration for past and present female military, veterans and first responders in honor of Women's History Month. Speakers include Brenda Berkman, Dorothy Moses Schulz, Ph.D., Elizabeth Cobbs, Ph.D., and Col. Lisa Carrington Firman. Lunch will be provided.

LU Dance Team Workshop on March 26

Date: Sunday, March 26, 1 - 5 p.m.
Location: Recreational Sports Center

Are you interested in joining the LU Dance Team? Register today for the workshop! You'll meet the team  and alumni, learn LUDT techniques and combos and participate in a mock tryout, all to prepare you for team tryouts later this semester.

Center for Resiliency's Brown Bag Lecture Series Continues

At these informal gatherings, Center for Resiliency researchers are invited to share 15-minute presentations of the progress and outcomes of their research. All LU faculty, students and staff are welcome to bring a lunch and enjoy the learning and fellowship!

REDtalks: So You Want to Be an Entrepreneur? Talk on March 28

A common-sense talk by an advisor with the Small Business Development Center detailing steps to be taken before embarking on a business venture. These steps come from years of working with clients starting businesses. These steps will not guarantee success, but will put you on the right path!

Women in the Workforce: The five colleges come together for a Q&A panel featuring a successful alumna from each in celebration of Women's History Month. Panelists: Kennetha Alvarez (College of Arts and Sciences), Tea Do (College of Business), Britney Sumayah (College of Engineering), Angelica Figueroa (College of Education and Human Development) and Hannah LeTulle (College of Fine Arts and Communication). 

Drop-In Sessions with Academic Coaching
Drop-In Sessions with Academic Coaching are Available

Date: Tuesday, Feb. 21-April 20, 5 - 7 p.m.
Location: Mary and John Gray Library, STARS Services

Drop in sessions are now available for academic coaching with LU Success. Sessions will take place from 5-7 p.m. every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and will be held in the Tutoring Center on the first floor of the Mary and John Gray Library.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Walk to be Held April 18

Participate in the International Men's March to help raise awareness and stop rape, sexual assault and gender violence in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Weekly tips: The best ways to stay nourished and save money are plan your meals and snacks, see what food you have at home before purchasing more, use a grocery list and shop sales when purchasing food and learn about community resources such as SNAP, WIC and local food banks. - Climb the wall in the Rec 132 times and win a T-shirt or water bottle (your name will go on the Wall of Honor)
