In honor of Black History Month, ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ will celebrate with a series of events organized and sponsored by a variety of organizations, departments, clubs and student organizations that highlight and pay tribute to the achievements of African Americans and important events that contributed to U.S. history.

REDtalks - Study Abroad: Travel and Transformation

Have you ever dreamed of traveling the world? Learn how to earn LU credit hours while studying abroad, how to finance study abroad through scholarships, and how studying abroad will have a profound impact on your personal and professional future.

Department of Music presents Flute Ensemble Concert

Students will be performing large and small chamber works by Bassingthwaighte, Cueto, Laszlo, Holst, Clarke, Pucihar, Coleman and Lecuona.

ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ students of all majors are invited to attend ! This event is designed to allow students to meet and connect with employers in a relaxed atmosphere to build and develop their networking skills.

A Showcase of African American Women

Date: Tuesday, Feb. 7, 12-2 p.m.
Location: Setzer Student Center Atrium

In honor of black history month, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will host a tabling event to showcase African American women, their accomplishments and/or inventions over the years.

O.U.R. Panel Discussion

Date: Wednesday, Feb. 8, 12-2 p.m.
Location: Virtual and Landes Auditorium of Galloway -Business bldg.

Do you want to apply for a summer undergraduate research grant? Please Join the O.U.R. Panel Discussion in Landes Auditorium of the Galloway building The Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships are for all undergraduates interested to do research in summer 2023.

Movie Night – Wakanda Forever

Please join NSA and NSBE to view the movie " Wakanda Forever" in the Setzer Student Center Ballroom. The viewing is open to all students, faculty, staff and the community.

Young Engineering Panel

Date: Wednesday, Feb. 8, 6:30 p.m.
Location: Setzer Student Center, Neches room 120

NSBE will partner with Raytheon to host a diverse panel of engineers who will discuss contracts for new graduates and give pointers on navigating the engineering field. The importance of understanding the company's mission, tips on answering interview questions and more!

Shaping the Future of STEM
Shaping the Future of STEM

Date: Thursday, Feb. 9, 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Location: Mary & John Gray Library, 8th floor

Please join us for “Shaping the Future of STEM” to celebrate International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which recognizes the need to increase female participation in STEM. The event will feature a poster session by STEM students and a STEM faculty panel of women discussing their experiences.

Date: Tuesday, Feb. 15-16, 11 a.m. -1:30 p.m.
Location: Setzer Student Center Atrium

Be the Match donation registry will be on campus at a table in the Setzer Student Center Feb. 15 and Feb. 16 from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. to educate students on bone marrow donation, and sign up interested students for the national bone marrow registry.

Cardinal Bootcamp
Cardinal Bootcamp: Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship

Date: Thursday, Feb. 16, 1:30-6 p.m.; Feb. 17, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Location: CICE Building, room 113

Get an intensive crash course in entrepreneurship and hear valuable founder insights from ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ alumni entrepreneurs on Thursday Feb. 16 from 1-6 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Speakers: Dr. Jack Gill, Anthony George and Fred Vernon.

Build A Basic Budget

Date: Thursday, Feb. 16, 1-2 p.m.
Location: Setzer Student Center, Neches room 120

Money Management Program is hosting an in-person workshop along with Ashlynn Lalonde from Mobiloil Credit Union. Build A Basic Budget : College students must budget for textbooks, housing, and a social life. We’ll help you plan for these expenses and keep spending in check.

Winner: Pulitzer Prize, Tony Award. We follow Heidi Holland and her friends on a comedic and poignant journey from the 1960s through the 1980s as they try to navigate careers, sex, children, relationships and the role of women in a rapidly changing world.

Out of the Darkness Walk - American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

The "" is a journey of remembrance, hope and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental health conditions have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about.

Inspirational Woman Award Reception Nominations

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion is accepting nominations for the Inspirational Woman Awards. This includes women who have been active in all forms of media and storytelling including print, radio, TV, stage, screen, blogs, podcasts, news and social media.
