Sculpture Courses You May Take

Sculpture I: An exploration of the various sculptural approaches in wood, cement, and mold making, including additive and subtractive techniques.

Sculpture II: An exploration of the various sculptural approaches in steel and cast metal. Contemporary and historical perspectives addressed.

Late Modern and Contemporary Art: A survey of late modern and contemporary art practices.

Criticism and Theory in the Visual Arts: This course examines the major methodologies and theories that have shaped and continue to shape the fields of visual art and art history.

Professional Practices: A study of the practical aspects of the art profession with emphasis on health hazards, business procedures and art law.

Career Paths for Sculpture

Upon completion of the BFA in Studio Arts with a concentration in sculpture at ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ, you may choose to pursue professional artistry or a career-related field, art therapist, art teacher, art museum/gallery curator, etc. Many students in the BFA program in studio art pursue graduate study that leads to the Master of Fine Arts degree.
