You'll also have the chance to display your own works of art throughout the Art Building and the Dishman Museum on campus and to build a professional portfolio for your endeavors after graduation.
Photography I: An introduction to basic photographic processes and techniques used as an art medium.
Photography II: Introduction to contemporary digital photography as an art medium.
History of Photography: The development and evolution of photography from its invention in 1839 to the present.
Late Modern and Contemporary Art: A survey of late modern and contemporary art practices.
Criticism and Theory in the Visual Arts: This course examines the major methodologies and theories that have shaped and continue to shape the fields of visual art and art history.
Upon completion of the BFA in Studio Arts with a concentration in photography at ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ, you may choose to pursue professional artistry or a career-related field, such as a specialized photographer (fashion, wildlife, weddings, etc.), photojournalist, graphic designer or art museum/gallery curator. Many students in the BFA program in studio art pursue graduate study that leads to the Master of Fine Arts degree.
