Food Culture of the Greater Gulf with Carrie Helms Tippen

Carrie Helms Tippen, associate professor of English at Chatham University, will give the keynote for the 2025 Greater Gulf Symposium. She most recently wrote "Unpalatable: Stories of Pain and Pleasure in Southern Cookbooks." Poster session, book signing, reception and refreshments will be avaialbe. This event is free and open to all.

Family Game Day
Date: Saturday, Apr. 5, 1 - 7 p.m. Location: Sheila Umphrey Recreational Sports Center & Vincent Beck Baseball Stadium
Spend a beautiful day on campus enjoying activities for the whole family. Invite your parents and friends to come join in the fun. After games and art at the Rec, we're going to the LU Baseball game. Each ticket includes admission to the game and tasty treats at the stadium. Sign up by Thursday, Apr. 3.

Biology Scavenger Hunt
Date(s): Monday, Apr. 7 through Friday, Apr. 11, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Location: Maes Building, Room 101
Grab some friends and test your biology knowledge. Teams of three to four students need to register in the Biology office (101 Maes) and receive instructions starting Apr. 7 at 9 a.m. Contest ends Apr. 11 at 5 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for First Finished, Most Creative, and Best Picture.
