The Ombuds Office has moved to its new location in Room 130 of the CICE Building. This new site will offer increased confidentiality for visitors. The office also has numerous resources for managing work-related problems. Feel free to come by and see what it offers.

Buckeye Partners, L.P. ("Buckeye") has funded $100,000 for the continuation and expansion of a research project led by ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ professors Dr. Mariam Hamidi and Dr. Jing Zhang that is focused on deep learning-based defect classification and prediction. This research project was initially funded by the Center for Midstream Management and Science under its annual RFP research program.

The Beta Xi chapter of Phi Beta Delta Honor Society for International Students inducted 19 new members, including nine faculty and staff and six students from ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ. Chapter members named Dr. Jaime Taylor as Honorary Member of the Society and Dr. Dann Brown as Honorary Member of the Chapter. Dr. Lynn Maurer and Dr. Mustapha Jourdini received distinguished member recognitions.

Dr. J. Kenneth Young was named the recipient of the 2023 Theodore Creighton Award, which is given by the Council of Professors of Educational Leadership in recognition of members' contributions to the field and the profession through scholarship and innovation.
