Cultural Graduation Celebrations in the Next Few Weeks

Date: Wednesday, May 3, - Thursday, May 11, 12 - 7 p.m.

The Division of Diversity, Inclusion and Community Relations is hosting six cultural graduation celebrations to honor the May 2023 graduates. These identity-focused celebrations will complement thew university commencement. Please join us as we celebrate the persistence and accomplishments of our students. More information is available.

Center for Resiliency's Next Brown Bag Talk Will be May 9

Date: Tuesday, May 9, 12:40 - 2 p.m.
Location: Science and Technology Building, Room 203

Bring a lunch and enjoy "Supporting Resiliency in Rural Health Through Telehealth, Telemedicine and Distance Education," "I'm Stronger Today" and "Use of Connected Vehicle (CV) Environments to Improve Resiliency of Transporation Systems in Severe Weather."

The Office of Student Aid is now on and . Follow these accounts to stay up with financial aid, scholarships and veterans affairs.

Ombuds Office Moves to CICE Building

The Ombuds Office has moved to its new location in Room 130 of the CICE Building. This new site will offer increased confidentiality for visitors. The office also has numerous resources for managing work-related problems. Feel free to come by and see what it offers.

Buckeye Partners Funds Research Project for LU Professors

Buckeye Partners, L.P. ("Buckeye") has funded $100,000 for the continuation and expansion of a research project led by 四虎影视 professors Dr. Mariam Hamidi and Dr. Jing Zhang that is focused on deep learning-based defect classification and prediction. This research project was initially funded by the Center for Midstream Management and Science under its annual RFP research program.

Phi Beta Delta Honor Society for International Students Inducts New Members from LU

The Beta Xi chapter of Phi Beta Delta Honor Society for International Students inducted 19 new members, including nine faculty and staff and six students from 四虎影视. Chapter members named Dr. Jaime Taylor as Honorary Member of the Society and Dr. Dann Brown as Honorary Member of the Chapter. Dr. Lynn Maurer and Dr. Mustapha Jourdini received distinguished member recognitions.

Dr. Young Receives 2023 Theodore Creighton Award

Dr. J. Kenneth Young was named the recipient of the 2023 Theodore Creighton Award, which is given by the Council of Professors of Educational Leadership in recognition of members' contributions to the field and the profession through scholarship and innovation.
