Center for Resiliency 4th Annual Research Summit

Center for Resiliency host the 4th annual Resilience and Recovery Research Summit, "Uniting the Community". Topics include; Economic Resiliency, Subsidence, Power Grid Infrastructure, Mental Health and many more. Attendance is welcomed in person or virtual.

A common-sense talk by an advisor with the Small Business Development Center detailing steps to be taken before embarking on a business venture. These steps come from years of working with clients starting businesses. These steps will not guarantee success, but will put you on the right path!

Center for Resiliency's Brown Bag Lecture Series Continues!

At these informal gatherings, Center for Resiliency researchers are invited to share 15-minute presentations of the progress and outcomes of their research. All LU faculty, students, and staff are welcome to bring a lunch and enjoy the learning and fellowship!

Women in the Workforce: The five colleges come together for a Q&A panel featuring a successful alumna from each in celebration of Women's History Month. Panelists: Kennetha Alvarez (CoAS), Tea Do (CoB), Britney Sumayah (CoE), Angelica Figueroa (CoEHD) and Hannah LeTulle (CoFAC).

Several awards from the Texas State University System are now open for applications. Faculty are invited to apply for the TSUS Regents’ Professor Award and the TSUS Regents’ Teacher Award. Staff are invited to apply for the TSUS Regents’ Staff Excellence Award.

The Office of Undergraduate Research announces the Faculty Mentoring Award to honor a successful undergraduate research mentor. Nominations and self-nominations are accepted. A letter of interest, the resume of the applicant, 1 recommendation letter from a colleague and 2 letters from students mentees are requested by March 1 to be sent to cbahrim@lamar.edu.
