The War of the Worlds

Tune in to 91.3 FM and kvlu.org on Monday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. for KVLU's annual Halloween broadcast of "The War of the Worlds," directed and narrated by Orson Welles and originally broadcast in 1938 over the CBS Radio Network.

Educators' Career Fair

Tara Dudley will discuss the architectural activities and influence of gens de couleur libres — free people of color — and show how they expressed group identity through property ownership and built culture in New Orleans.

Hosted by the Center for History and Culture of Southeast Texas and the Upper Gulf Coast, Tara Dudley will discuss the architectural activities and influence of gens de couleur libres — free people of color — and show how they expressed group identity through property ownership and built culture in New Orleans. The event will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Science Auditorium and at 5:30 p.m. in the Dishman Museum Auditorium.

This conference seeks to amplify local voices and advance solutions toward a sustainable future.
Extreme Weather and Inequality: A Day of Discussion

SETX lies upon the imperiled coast and within a global hub of petrochemical production. Its diverse and economically vulnerable population will bear a disproportionate burden of the costs of extreme weather. This conference seeks to amplify local voices and advance solutions toward a sustainable future.
