ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dann Brown has appointed Dr. Samuel Jator as the university’s new senior associate provost for Academic Affairs. Jator comes to the university after serving as professor of mathematics and chair of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Austin Peay State University for nearly a decade.

The application deadline for the 2023 cohort of the McNair Scholars program has been extended until Nov. 1. Students who meet eligibility requirements and have a strong interest in research and preparing for graduate study are encouraged to apply by visiting www.lamar.edu/mcnair/application.html.
