ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ’s official welcome for all new students marks the start of your academic journey. This formal celebration of scholarship and tradition inducts new students into the community of learners at LU. Receive a welcome from the University President as well as campus leaders! All new students must attend.

Join your peers, faculty and staff at the start of the semester to gain skills and strategies to be successful at ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ! The Academic Success Conference is also a great way to meet new friends and get connected to on-campus resources. Lunch is provided and the first 200 students will receive a T-shirt.

The Department of Art & Design will present faculty and staff artwork in an exhibition at the Dishman Art Museum, Aug. 13 through Sept. 10. The public is invited to attend and a reception for the exhibition will be held Friday, Aug. 26, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Hours are Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 12-4 p.m.

President Jaime Taylor has appointed Dr. Freddie Titus as the interim vice president for the Division of Diversity, Inclusion and Community Relations. Now, as he enters his 40th year at the institution, Titus reflects on his journey at LU and how he plans to give back to the university that has made a positive impact on his life.

With the return of students in the fall, the Disability Resource Center (DRC) at ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ is pleased to announce it has a new name, the Accessibility Resource Center (ARC). Accessibility occurs when the needs of individuals with disabilities are specifically considered, barriers are removed and access to all aspects of the student experience is equitable.
