ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ will conduct a functional exercise in coordination with Lamar Institute of Technology and ExxonMobil at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. During this time, several tests of emergency notification systems will take place. All messages will begin with “THIS IS A TEST OF AN EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEM.” The purpose of the exercise is to test and evaluate the emergency functions of activating the Comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan to respond to an infrastructure issue by involving employees and students in a drill involving a chlorine leak at ExxonMobil near campus. The exercise will last one hour beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at 11 a.m.
