Students, faculty and staff are invited to join us for a special event featuring a screening of “They Will Talk About Us: The Charlton-Pollard Story.” Developed in conjunction with a short illustrated history, this 32-minute documentary film chronicles the origins of one of the oldest Black neighborhoods in Beaumont, Texas. The public screening session will take place at 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Dishman Auditorium.

The Center for History and Culture invites applications for research and creative fellowships up to $5000 to support the production, curation and transmission of knowledge about Southeast Texas and the greater Gulf Coast.
